A Boston Whaler fan's comments and Reviews:

Tom Hardy I then thought it may be nice to have something back in the garage that did not cost any of those extra's...Long story short the young man I sold the Montauk to was moving up to a bigger boat and I ended up buying it back! Put new E-tec on it and all the wood was finished and now looks immaculate. Good to have her home!! Forever!!! Still looks like new!

Israel Umpierre We have some bad seas in PR and I only trust BW, that's why my 255 Conquest is my 4th Whaler (15,17,22,25 and now looking up to the new 31 Conquest).

Edward Markland I have a 17 ft Whaler to fish , to enjoy knowing I can catch fish with it, knowing you can go out for miles and come back not only with fish but have a Whaler of safety and great times feeling secure for you can't sink them , I love to see how all eyes stare when you dock seeing a true beautiful really designed boat to give you not only secure sailing , but great joy being an owner of such a craft.

Glenn Hendrickson When the Reverend (from the Mariner's Chapel, Salem, Mass.) ascended the pulpit he determined to teach the congregants how fragile life at sea can be.

Chris Pyne I have a 1984 Outrage and that is one reason i moved the battery to the center consoule I have taken a few big waves over the stern also and The boat has taken on allot of water. I just turn on the bilge pump and wait.

Tony Belmonte Beraquit THE BEST BOAT FOR SAFETY-MY BATTERY IS INSIDE THE CENTER CONSOLE ON A 1988 MONTAUK 17. I'VE HAD THIS BOAT SINCE NEW...LOL

Doreen Jones we have the montauk..and I hope that because of a few ocean waves that we would not be in trouble? I like the boat and we invested in this for the reason of not sinking ever..but still dont want to have this kind of problem???????????? would we or should we move the batteries..?? in to a saver place..thinking that its ok where it is..unless we are out in 6 foot waves??

Chris Pyne I moved mine when I added my kicker motor as the battery box was on the same side as the new motor making it sit a little crooked. Moving it to the center console just seemed to make sense.

Dale Albright I once took a 3 foot wave over the bow of my 15' while launching through the serf. It filled my boat with water, gas tank floated out only to be held on by gas line, Battery was totally under water. Tackle boxes floated out too. I pulled the plug started the motor, pulled the gas tank in the boat and put it in gear all the while taking more waves over the bow. Got out through the serf drained the boat. Put the plug back in want finished my diving trip. Lost all my tackle boxes but saved the dive trip. I now have a 22 Dauntless.

Robert H Wolf I've got a restored, all original '69 Nauset I am going to offer to show at the Virginia Beach show next year. Lynnhaven Marine is our local distributor.

America's Boaters As a kid, we had an 11' Sport w/ an 18 hp Johnson (in the pre-PWC days) that my brother and I would jump off the top of wakes, and in which we'd generally terrorized the locals. It would have been hard to imagine the 370 Outrage back then. WOWZERS!

Rob Phelan Keep wishing for a 230 Dauntless, T-top, Trim Tabs, (might consider the sport tower) Extras - GPS Trolling motor, 8' Power Pole, Jack Plate, 2 bait wells.

Charlie Spencer the fact that they don't work. When I sold boats 80% of the Mercurys had problems right out of the box. We never had that many problems with Yamahas or Suzukis. And, Boston Whaler should give the consumer a CHOICE as to what motor they can have. It seems that Boston Whaler has shot itself in the foot over a single engine choice. Thanks to Brunswick.

Brent Gudorf Got the 27 off-shore... and I feel safe out there because the boats a whaler.. AND IT'S REPOWERED WITH TWIN YAMAHA 250S .... LEAVE THE MERCS AND RUDES WHERE THEY BELONG...ON A BASS LAKE...

Kevin Maguire i am working on a 1963 montak 17ft so thats my day dream but when i sleep something i could live and fish offshore:) way off shore.

Thomas Gregory A classic montauk with a head where the cooler seat is with a drop curtain and 2 seats in rear and a ski pylon. Stay tuned I am doing that with an '89.

Bobby Kayat 1968 13 sport and 2001 22 dauntless are the BEST! sport goes as shallow as any hells bay and the dauntless rides like a cadillac.

Brant S. Fagan The only boat for me and the whole Fagan family here in New Hampshire! Total of four: '62 Sport 13, '88 15SS, '75 Newport, '98 Ventura 18. When you live on an island, there is no other way.

Chris Perri Wow. I guess everyone has an opinion on this one. Having a choice is always nice and I can understand that aspect. However, the 250 Verado that came on my 06 235 Conquest was part of the reason that I chose a Whaler. 350 hours on it and never a problem. Performance is excellent and once I drove a Verado, I was hooked.
